Microsoft unveils Ink Canvas: AI pen-first workspace for Copilot

Microsoft announced Microsoft Ink Canvas, a pen-first workspace that combines handwriting, sketches, and annotations with AI features on a single canvas. Inputs from the canvas give Copilot extra context for generating documents and other content. Ink Canvas will ship preinstalled on the Surface Pro 12-inch (2nd Edition) and arrive in the Microsoft Store on October 13, 2026.
