Sensor Tower: Japan PC and PlayStation unit sales up 13% to 21m in H1 2026, led by Resident Evil Requiem

PC and PlayStation unit sales in Japan rose 13% year-on-year to 21 million in the first half of 2026, led by Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem. The game sold an estimated 2.6 million units on Steam in its first month, while mobile in-app purchase revenue in Japan fell 5.1% to ¥1.56 trillion.
