Firefox for Android adds free built-in VPN to shield browser from ISPs

Mozilla added a free built-in VPN to Firefox for Android with a 50 GB monthly limit, available to some users in a gradual rollout. It is a TLS-encrypted Fastly proxy rather than a full VPN, routing only browser traffic and DNS requests.

• Traffic limit is 50 GB per month per user
• Traffic goes through a Fastly TLS proxy, not WireGuard
• Protection works only inside Firefox, not other apps
