EU Expands Tariff Net to Finished Transformers

From Sept. 25 the EU imposes provisional safeguards on grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES), laminated plates, cores and cores inside finished transformers. South Korea receives a 4,789.93-ton quota, while embedded cores face a €1,140-per-ton tariff. A final ruling is expected in February.
