Greece PM: under-15 social media ban may already be outdated because of AI chatbots

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, speaking in San Francisco, admitted his government has no finished plan for regulating AI. Greece bans social media for children under 15 starting in January, but he said the move may already lag behind the rise of AI companions. Greece has directed roughly €36 billion of EU recovery funds into digital infrastructure and is building an HPE-assisted supercomputer.
