A16z launches school for high school grads skipping college

Andreessen Horowitz is launching The Horowitz Andreessen Academy in San Francisco, a one-year tuition-free program for about 50 high school graduates who have not attended college. Students get mentors from Anduril, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Nvidia, OpenAI, Palantir, Replit and Stripe, but no degree or transferable credits. The for-profit venture has raised $42 million and plans a two-year program with elite-university-level tuition in 2028.
