IonQ and Synopsys speed engineering simulation by up to 14.6% with quantum algorithm

IonQ and Synopsys embedded a quantum algorithm into the Ansys LS-DYNA workflow, cutting runtime of large-scale engineering simulations by up to 14.6%. Tests covered models of a car, drill component, impeller and jet engine assembly with meshes up to 35 million points and up to 150 qubits.

• Numerical runs used up to 150 qubits, validated on IonQ's 36-qubit Forte
