Blizzard Addresses WoW 2 Question, Says No Sequel Needed
At BlizzCon, Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Forever, a revamped version of classic WoW with new zones, dungeons, raids, the Skyborne race, and 100 quests. Executive producer Holly Longdale and lead designer Chris Zierhut said a sequel is unnecessary: the game's engine and server infrastructure have evolved over 25 years, so starting over makes no sense.
