Gartner: 55% of enterprise VMware users will explore alternatives by 2029

Gartner predicts that by 2029, 55% of enterprises will run proofs of concept for alternative distributed hybrid infrastructure to replace VMware deployments, up from 25% in 2026. VMware still ranks as a leader in the DHI Magic Quadrant alongside AWS, Nutanix, Microsoft and Oracle.
