South Korea Confirms Texas Gas Plant as First U.S. Investment

South Korea's government confirmed a gas combined-cycle power plant in Encinal, Texas, as the first project under its $200 billion strategic investment program in the U.S. The plant will have about 6.3 GW of capacity at an estimated cost of $22.3 billion, while nuclear and Alaska LNG projects remain under negotiation.
