Katalyst to Demo Space-Based Power Beaming for Pentagon Program

Katalyst Space has been selected by the Pentagon's Operational Energy Capability Improvement Fund to demonstrate space-based power beaming to remote locations with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Under the ASGARD program, a Katalyst Nexus spacecraft will use robotic arms to assemble a large-format power beaming system on orbit that converts solar energy into radio frequency microwaves and transmits it to Earth.
