Google tests paying publishers for AI answer contributions in Search and Gemini

Google has launched an invitation-only AI contribution pilot that pays publishers when their content meaningfully contributes to answers in AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini. Monthly payments appear in a Search Console earnings widget, but rates, eligibility and measurement methods remain undisclosed.
