Flock Safety offers employee buyouts as cities cancel surveillance contracts

Flock Safety has launched a voluntary buyout program for its 1,500 employees after a wave of cancellations of its AI license plate scanning cameras. Advocacy group Secure Justice found at least 214 cities and counties dropped Flock contracts since 2021, including 90 in 2026 alone.
