Microsoft fixes broken Excel copy and paste after September updates
Microsoft released patches for Excel 2016, 2019, 2021, and 2024 to fix copy, autofill, and formula-dragging failures caused by the September 2026 security updates, including KB5002914. Paste operations could fail silently with no error message.
