Russia reports thousands of cyberattacks on election infrastructure

Russian authorities said they blocked about 2,000 cyberattacks on the federal online voting platform and e-government systems during the three-day parliamentary election. The Central Election Commission reported more than 3,000 DDoS waves since Sept. 18, including 135 against the remote voting platform and 420 against Rostelecom infrastructure. The claims could not be independently verified.
