India needs to move beyond chip manufacturing, use Indian chips in locally designed products: Report

An EY–IESA report urges India to shift from expanding chip production to building an ecosystem where chips designed, manufactured and packaged in the country are used in locally designed products. India's semiconductor consumption is projected to reach about $200 billion by 2035, but most demand is currently met by imports.
