LG Energy Solution Completes Five ESS Production Sites in North America

LG Energy Solution opened a plant in Lansing, Michigan, completing a network of five energy storage system production sites in North America. The plant can produce over 35 GWh of cells annually, including LFP batteries for ESS and NCM for EVs.

• Five ESS plants: three own in Michigan and Ontario, two JVs in Ohio and Tennessee
• Lansing plant capacity to exceed 35 GWh cells per year
• Mass production of prismatic LFP batteries to start in 2027
• ESS supply contracts with Tesla, DTE Energy (6 GWh), Google project (up to 2.9 GWh)
