US AI data centers projected to become fifth-largest natural gas consumer by 2035

By 2035, US data centers are projected to burn up to 15 billion cubic feet of gas per day, a 117% increase from the previous estimate of 6.9 billion. That is about 20% of US electricity consumption, or 194 GW.
