Researchers create DNA computer that performs 100-bit calculations without electricity

Researchers from Maynooth University in Ireland have created a molecular computer based on DNA that works without electricity. The Scaffolded DNA Computer system, described in Nature on September 16, executed 10 programs, including 100-bit calculations, using self-assembly of DNA strands.
