Orange, Skylo and Kyivstar take direct-to-device into commercial service

Orange launched satellite messaging via Skylo's NB-NTN stack, integrated from its core and billing to Android on Pixel 9 and later. Kyivstar's Starlink layer reached over 10% of its base within a month and 7.5 million unique users in nine months as an automatic add-on.

• Kyivstar offers satellite coverage as an automatic add-on, not a separate service
• Orange keeps the customer relationship, selling satellite as a plan option
• Skylo's network runs on GEO today and may add LEO later
