Gemini can now generate PDF, DOCX and XLSX files from a prompt

Google has expanded Gemini with file generation: a single prompt can produce PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, LaTeX, TXT, RTF and Markdown files, plus Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. Drafts in Docs draw on context from Drive, Gmail and the web, with Canvas-based refinement. Access depends on an eligible Workspace or Google AI plan and region.
