Chrome's Prompt API is stable: on-device Gemini Nano without keys or token bills

Chrome has stabilized its Prompt API powered by Gemini Nano: stable in extensions since Chrome 138 and on the web since Chrome 148. Pages can summarize, classify and rewrite text locally without an API key or per-token billing. The model downloads on first use and supports English, Japanese, Spanish, German and French.
