Google ships major update to Home app and Gemini for Home

Google rolled out a large update to its Home app and Gemini for Home, improving music transfers between rooms, Nest Doorbell face detection and Nest camera stability. The app adds a Home Premium section, accurate Matter door and window icons, and energy data for supported devices.

• Gemini better handles moving music between rooms and cuts stray "didn't understand" replies
• Migrated Nest cameras get faster night vision and steadier Wi-Fi reconnection
• Home Premium features are now reachable from the profile menu
• Supported Matter devices show real-time power in mW and energy in kWh
