A new arms race is unfolding on the ocean floor

Amid Nord Stream sabotage and rising hybrid threats, defense and tech companies are developing autonomous underwater vehicles and sensors to protect cables and pipelines. Fincantieri will invest about €600 million in four companies, and Euroatlas has developed the GrayShark AUV.
