Cloudflare launches Web Search API for AI applications

Cloudflare has opened a beta Web Search API through AI Gateway. It lets AI agents fetch live web results from Ceramic.ai, Exa and Linkup, with unified logging, access controls and billing, plus bring-your-own-provider keys.

• API is available via REST and Cloudflare Workers, with search from Ceramic.ai, Exa and Linkup
• Search requests are logged alongside model inference; billing is at provider list prices with no markup
• Providers must follow Verified bots requirements and return links to source content
• Cloudflare plans native server tools in AI Gateway, starting with web search
