DeepSeek launches $0.75 Search & Fetch API and V4.1 Flash 1017 update

DeepSeek released a Search & Fetch API at $0.75 per 1,000 successful requests, undercutting Perplexity Sonar and Google Custom Search by 6.7–10.7x. It also shipped the V4.1 Flash 1017 update: Terminal-Bench 4.0 rose from 31.2% to 42.3% and DeepSWE v1.1 hit 77% at about $0.20 per task versus $3.20 for GPT-5.6 Sol.
