Germany's cooperative banks dominate ESMA's MiCA register

ESMA's MiCA register dated 20 October 2026 lists 384 authorised crypto-asset service providers, of which 114 are German and 63 are cooperative banks (eG). All eight firms added on 20 October were German banks supervised by BaFin, not exchanges, wallets or startups.
