Pentagon's Emil Michael threatens export controls if AI labs don't cooperate

Senior Defense Department official Emil Michael said the government will use tools including export controls against AI companies that refuse to cooperate with Washington. Michael, who leads the Super Intelligence Force's liaison with Anthropic, previously pushed to label the company a supply chain risk.
