Altera unveils Agilex 2X FPGAs targeting AI infrastructure

Altera announced Agilex 2X, a portfolio of four FPGA and SoC families for AI infrastructure, robotics, communications and edge systems. The first family, Agilex 27, claims 1.8x better performance per watt than Agilex 7; software support is available in Quartus Prime 26.3, with engineering samples expected in the second half of 2027.
