Microsoft opens Copilot harness through Foundry

Microsoft on October 28, 2026 made the Copilot harness — the multi-model orchestration layer behind Copilot Code, Studio, CLI and VS Code — available to developers through Microsoft Foundry. The Foundry Agent Service public preview supports 20+ models, MCP, skills and subagents; from December 1 sandbox compute costs $0.0994 per vCPU-hour and $0.0118 per GiB-hour.
