Perplexity upgrades Mac app voice mode with OpenAI's gpt-live-1

Perplexity has upgraded the voice mode in its Mac app to run on OpenAI's gpt-live-1 model, which can listen to users while it speaks. The feature is available to Pro and Max subscribers. Perplexity recently also added the ability to run AI locally on the Mac for offline use.
