Visual Studio update adds new Copilot Chat, bulk conflict resolution and Hot Exit

Microsoft updated Visual Studio with a new GitHub Copilot Chat experience built on the Copilot SDK, featuring Agent and Ask modes, plus bulk merge-conflict resolution across multiple files and commit comparison against the working tree. The release also adds Hot Exit for restoring unsaved work and new keyboard shortcuts for moving tabs.

• Git users can compare a commit with their working tree via Compare with Working Tree
• Merge conflicts can be resolved in bulk with Keep All Current or Take All Incoming
• Hot Exit restores unsaved documents but is disabled by default
• The new Copilot Chat is enabled in Tools → Options → GitHub → Copilot
