Waymo expands fully autonomous ride-hailing across five US cities

Waymo said on October 27, 2026 that it will scale its fully autonomous ride-hailing service in Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area, adding nearly 250 square miles of territory within a week. The expansion includes new coverage in LA's South Bay, La Jolla in San Diego and a new BART connection at Berryessa Station.
