LeoLabs unveils Scout-S radar for space debris tracking

At the AMOS conference in Hawaii, LeoLabs presented Scout-S, a transportable radar the size of a 20-foot container that can detect debris smaller than 10 cm. About 16,790 active satellites are in orbit, nearly two-thirds of them Starlink, and the space situational awareness market is valued at $1.9 billion this year.
