New M6 iMac Offers 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Port Built Into Power Adapter

Apple's new M6 iMac can be configured with a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port housed in the power adapter rather than the computer. The upgrade costs $30 on the lower-end model and is standard on the higher-end one, up from 1 Gigabit on the previous generation.

• The 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port sits in the power adapter, not the chassis
• It costs $30 on the entry iMac and is standard on the higher-end model
• The previous iMac generation topped out at 1 Gigabit Ethernet
