Windows 11 Can Share Audio to Two Bluetooth Headphones, but Not on Every Laptop
Windows 11 Shared Audio can play sound simultaneously on two Bluetooth headphones via LE Audio broadcasting, but it requires compatible Bluetooth hardware, drivers and accessories. Microsoft broadened the rollout in May 2026 and improved reliability in its September 22, 2026 update.
- Shared Audio relies on LE Audio broadcasting and needs Bluetooth 5.2 with broadcast support
- Users can check support via Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices and the Use LE Audio option
- The feature rolled out in May 2026, with reliability fixes on September 22, 2026
- Unsupported PCs can fall back to a wired splitter or a dual-headset Bluetooth transmitter
