AI-generated fan wikis flood search with errors, muddying games culture
Eurogamer traced AI-generated "wiki" sites for indie games that spread false information and outrank legitimate fan wikis in search. Publisher Hooded Horse says it plays whack-a-mole with such sites, while the Dune: Awakening Community Wiki logged 7m AI crawler requests in 30 days.
