Google Rolls Out Age Assurance in Malaysia

Google has expanded its age assurance technology to Malaysia after Singapore and other markets. Users estimated to be under 18 get SafeSearch by default, mature content blocked on Play and Gemini, no personalised ads and no Location Timeline in Maps. Adults misclassified as minors can verify their age with a government ID photo or a selfie.
