Developers Reporting 10+ Weekly Hours Saved by AI Fell From 68% to 26%

Atlassian's State of Developer Experience 2026 found the share of developers saving ten or more hours a week with AI fell from 68% to 26% in a year. Adoption is near-universal at 95%, but 49% spend 4+ hours weekly managing AI tools and 65% fix AI-generated work that missed the intent.
