OpenAI explains how its coding tools became dots, an always-on assistant

OpenAI released its personal AI assistant dots at its developer day in late September. It runs in the background in the ChatGPT desktop and mobile apps for Pro-tier subscribers starting at $100 a month and connects to a user's calendar, email and computer.
