OHB takes 25% stake in MediaMobil ahead of Germany's €10B satellite tender
German space manufacturer OHB SE acquired a 25% minority stake in MediaMobil Communication GmbH via a capital increase; financial terms were not disclosed. MediaMobil's Multilink Gateway switches between capacity from five operators and restored emergency connectivity in the Ahr Valley floods in 2021. OHB and Rheinmetall are jointly bidding for the SATCOMBw 4 military satellite contract, valued at about €10 billion across roughly 200 satellites.
