UK to launch Biosecurity Lab for biological AI threats

The UK government will invest £100 million in an AI Biosecurity Lab (AIBL) to counter biological risks posed by AI. Anthropic and OpenAI will each contribute £100 million in compute and model credits, with Google DeepMind and Basecamp Research as partners.
