UK AI minister promises greater safeguards against advanced AI threats

AI minister Kanishka Narayan warned a major cyber attack on the UK is "likely, if not inevitable" and pledged legislation against emerging AI threats. The government will expand frontier AI pilots that already found over 1,000 vulnerabilities in government systems and address serious AI incidents in the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill.
