Xbox team reportedly threatened to cancel handheld over Windows 11

Fortune reports that tensions between Microsoft's Xbox and Windows teams led an Xbox leader to threaten cancelling a gaming handheld if it had to run Windows 11. Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet disputed the report, saying Helix OS is "being built on Windows" rather than being Windows 11. Project Helix has reportedly slipped to 2028.
