Amazon blocks AI agents, Walmart opens a MCP gateway for them

Amazon has blocked Meta's Muse agent from Amazon.com since the night of 20 September 2026, citing a breach of its terms of use. Walmart announced Agent Gateway on 21 October, letting approved agents search inventory and buy via the Model Context Protocol, with separate Agent Profiles and spending limits rolling out in November.
