Google lets users publish AI Studio apps to a personal Play Store library

Since October 13, 2026, US users over 18 can publish Android apps built in AI Studio to a personal Play Store library without a developer account or the $25 fee. The apps are visible only to the owner, skip pre-publication review and are not listed in the public catalog.

• Currently US-only; requires Play Store version 53.5 or newer
• Apps are not searchable and visible only to the account owner
• Public listing still requires a full developer account
• Sharing with family and friends is promised later, no date given
