Google's Data Agent Kit hits GA with IAM-based agent guardrails

Google has made Data Agent Kit generally available: a free, open-source set of MCP tools and skills connecting coding agents to more than 15 Google Data Cloud services. The GA release adds BigQuery Graph, Bigtable and Managed Service for Apache Spark, with access limits enforced through IAM.

• Kit ships 37 Apache 2.0 skills, versioned 1.0.0 and 1.1.0
• Runs in Antigravity, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and VS Code
• Destructive actions are blocked via IAM deny policies
• Blocked tools still appear in tools/list until invoked
