Maxis to acquire Astro's broadband business for up to RM83 million

Maxis Broadband will acquire the broadband assets of MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems (Astro) for up to RM83 million. The deal covers 178,631 active subscribers as of 28 February 2026, plus contracts, software and equipment, but excludes the Astro brand. Completion is expected in Q2 2027 pending shareholder approval and MCMC notification.
