Android 17 lets you bubble any app for quick access

Android 17 adds the ability to bubble any app as a floating icon on top of the screen, previously limited to Google Messages and Facebook Messenger chats. The feature is a Pixel exclusive for now and will reach other manufacturers later, with up to five apps bubbled at once.

• Bubbled apps stay on top of other windows and dock to screen edges
• Up to five apps can be bubbled at once and move together
• The feature starts as a Pixel exclusive before wider rollout
• Samsung offers a similar Smart Pop-Up View option
