First iPhone Duo units report cracked inner screens at the hinge

On launch day, iPhone Duo owners on Reddit report inner screens failing along the hinge, with bright lines and an audible crack when unfolding. Apple has not commented; one buyer in Australia had the device replaced in store.

• Failure shows as bright lines on the right side of the inner display
• One user opened the phone fewer than 20 times in six hours
• An Apple Store replaced the broken unit on the spot
• Apple did not respond to a request for comment
